Graduation Portfolio Winter Packet

Hey folks,
Winter packet is the handout with two problems on it:
  1. Multiplying like rats
  2. bouncing ball problem

Both must be completed upon your return. Make sure you finish them! They will be worth A LOT OF POINTS!!!!

I've attached a copy of the handout on this post. Download it below if you need it.

Here are a couple websites that you will need to help you with graphing your equations.

Tuesday 12/1 and Friday 12/4

On tuesday for a warm up we did problems 2-30, 1-76, 2-7

We finished the test we took before Thanksgiving break. If you didn't finish then you'll have to finish it after school.

Classwork:

We looked at problem 2-21.

Using the average “rebound ratio”, we derive the height of the ball for a drop height of 150, 100, 75, 50, and 25 cm. Put that in your table.

Then we graph Rebound height vs. Drop height. Drop height is the independent value.

Students finish 2-21, 22, and 23.

Thursday:

Prelude was a green sheet practicing systems of equations and quadratic formula. We did problems 2-30 - 2-34

We went over exponential growth and exponential decay.

Prelude on ratios:

Slope is an example of ratios.

Finish posters on the formula y=a(b^x)+c in 30 minutes. Present posters. 2-3 minutes per group.

First two problems in 2.1.2 section
