Make the music...
...and the sounds.
Hey! Hello! Hi! It's time for a new quarter and semester of Digital Media Fun. This quarter we will be looking (or listening) at audio. For those who don't know, audio is a fancy word for sound. I enjoy audio in most of my media (newspapers and magazines are exceptions); I listen to music in the car, on the train, while reading blogs and while teaching class (j.j.).
I often listen to the radio to get updates on current events and even add a bit of levity to my day. These are examples of how audio is used independently of accompanying media. In even more instances I enjoy listening to the dialogue of characters in a film, or the soundtrack to a music video. In these examples, audio is dependent, accompanying, leading or symbiotic with the visuals.
