Spring 2012 Exhibitions
Are you interested in becoming a proud EA Panther?
EA is accepting applications for grades 9, 10 and 11!

Enrollment Information for 9th Grade in 2012-2013 (next year)
The priority application deadline to apply for next year's 9th grade class has passed, but we are still accepting applications for the Spring Enrollment Period. All students who apply after January 20th, 2012 will automatically be placed on the Wait List until the Priority Applications have been processed. In early April 2012, we will begin offering available spaces to students on the Wait List.
Previously, students placed on our Wait List have had a good chance of gaining admittance to EA, so we still encourage all interested students to apply!
To apply for next year's 9th grade class:
Students who applied before the January 20th Deadline: Applicants will be notified by mail and by phone if they will be offered a space, beginning in the first week of February. If you have not received any information by mid-February, please call us!
Envision Academy is a public, tuition-free, open-enrollment school. There are no residency requirements for admission. If the number of applications we receive for 9th grade exceeds the number of available spaces, we will hold a random drawing (lottery) to determine admission.
What happens after I apply? You will get a letter in the mail confirming that your application has been received. If you applied after January 20th, 2012, you will be placed on the Wait List and will be notified by mail in early April if we are able to offer you a space. Students on the Wait List have a very good chance of being offered a spot, so we highly encourage you to apply!
Can I apply to EA as part of the OUSD Options Process? No. Envision Academy is a public charter school run by the non-profit organization Envision Schools. You must submit an application seperately from your OUSD application.
Enrollment Information for the current School Year
Spots in grades 9, 10 and 11 occassionally open throughout the year, allowing us to accept students who wish to transfer from other high schools. If you are interested in a mid-year transfer, we request that you submit the following:
Mark all records as ATTN: Lucy/Nicole M.
**Important Note: When you request records, your current school may be under the impression that you are transferring immediately and therefore withdraw your child from their school. DO NOT withdraw from the current school until you have been told by EA that a space is open for your child to transfer immediately!
Once these records have been received in our office, we will contact you to discuss the possibilities of a mid-year transfer. If there is no space in the grade you are requesting, your name will be added to the waitlist. Please note that students will not be added to the waitlist until their complete application and all records listed above have been submitted.
Learn More About Envision Academy!

There are 3 great ways to learn more about Envision Academy. If you are unable to attend any of these events, we can also arrange a brief tour of the school at a mutually convenient time.
1) Shadow Days
Experience Envision Academy first-hand by visiting during the school day. You will meet our teachers and students, observe classes in session, and have a change to ask all your questions. This is a fun and highly recommended way to learn about our school!
Spring 2012 Shadow Days
Please call us at (510) 596-8901 to schedule your Shadow Day. Other days may be available by arrangement.
2) Exhibitions
A wonderful and authentic way to experience Envision Academy in action is to attend one of our exhibitions, where students formally present their work to their teachers, peers and families. Exhibitions are one of the highlights of EA's unique educational program, and we highly recommend that prospective studetns and their parents attend one. To learn more about exhibitions, please visit the Envision Schools Project Exchange.

3) Information Sessions
Information Sessions are a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our mission, teaching philosophy, and how we prepare students for success in college and beyond. These events will include an information presentation, a tour of the campus and a Q&A Session.
All 2011-2012 Information Sessions have passed. We may be scheduling more during the Spring. Please check back soon for updated information!
